Egypt requirements at Point of Entry
Yellow fever
Proof of vaccination against yellow fever is required for travellers aged 9 months
or over arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission and for
travellers having transited for more than 12 hours through an airport of a country
with risk of yellow fever transmission.
The International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever is required to be
presented by travelers in the format specified in Annex 6 of the International
Health Regulations.
Countries with risk of yellow fever transmission
Africa: Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African
Republic, Chad, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo,
Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau,
Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South
Sudan, Sudan, Togo and Uganda.
Americas: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana,
Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela.
Poliovirus
All residents and long-term visitors (more than 4 weeks) to countries with a
potential risk of international spread of the polio virus must receive a dose of
bivalent oral poliovirus vaccine (bOPV) or inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV)
between 4 weeks and 12 months prior to traveling to Egypt.
An International Certificate of Vaccination is required, in the form specified in
Annex 6 of the International Health Regulations (IHR), to document their polio
vaccination and serve as proof of vaccination.

Afghanistan, Pakistan, Mozambique, DR Congo, French Guiana (France), Guinea.
